Visitors to the Hometown Lenders, Inc. Website remain anonymous. We do not collect identifying information about visitors to our site. We may use standard software to collect non-identifying information about our visitors, such as:

Sharing with Nonaffiliated Companies
From time to time, we will share customer information with those companies, which are not affiliated with our corporation, in order to provide the products and services that you have requested or already have with us. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and Graham Leach Bliley Act (GLBA) we may disclose information about you with our affiliates except where the Fair Credit Reporting Act gives you the option to opt out. FCRA allows you to opt out of sharing with our affiliates in three areas:

THE DEPARTMENT MAINTAINS A RECOVERY FUND TO MAKE PAYMENTS OF CERTAIN ACTUAL OUT OF POCKET DAMAGES SUSTAINED BY BORROWERS CAUSED BY ACTS OF LICENSED MORTGAGE BANKER RESIDENTIAL MORTGAGE LOAN ORIGINATORS. A WRITTEN APPLICATION FOR REIMBURSEMENT FROM THE RECOVERY FUND MUST BE FILED WITH AND INVESTIGATED BY THE DEPARTMENT PRIOR TO THE PAYMENT OF A CLAIM. Completing Online Forms
When you complete a form online, such as an online mortgage application, Hometown Lenders, Inc. has programs in place to protect it. If you use the online applications and / or links that we provide to you, the information you supply is encrypted and then decoded to begin processing when it arrives to Hometown Lenders Inc. If you have any questions about whether or not the link is from Hometown Lenders, Inc, please verify with your Hometown representative.
When emailing your Hometown Lenders, Inc. contacts, DO NOT EVER send any personal Identifiable Information (such as social security number, account numbers, check stubs, etc.). We will provide you a secure document upload feature that will keep your information safe. You may also deliver your documents to the office or mail the information through the US postal system understanding that mailing may delay your loan process.
Home Mortgage Disclosure Act
Enacted by Congress in 1975, the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act legislates the reporting of loan data by lending institutions. This includes geographic distribution of loans and applications; ethnicity, race, sex, and income of applicants and borrowers; and information about loan approvals and denials. This data is reported by the lending institutions on the first of March for loans and applications of the previous calendar year. If requested, lenders need to have the information available within 30 days of the request but not earlier than March 31st.
